Data Collection
StockEasy does not collect any personal information. We have no servers. We have no user database. We cannot access your inventory, sales records, customer information, or any other data you store in the app.
When you use StockEasy, your data is stored exclusively in two places:
- Your device’s local storage — using Apple’s SwiftData framework
- Backup files you create yourself — saved wherever you choose to put them
Where Your Data Lives
On your device, and nowhere else. StockEasy stores everything locally and makes no network requests — there is no account, no server of ours, and no sync service of any kind between your devices.
StockEasy does not sync through iCloud. Earlier versions of this page and of our App Store listing described an optional encrypted iCloud sync. That feature is not in the shipped app, and describing it here was our error. If your records need to reach a second device, the route is a backup file you export and restore yourself.
Because the data is only on the device, a lost or wiped phone loses it. Take a backup from Settings and keep the file somewhere else — it is free, it covers everything, and it is the only copy that survives the handset.
Permissions
StockEasy requests the following device permissions, all used solely within the app:
- Camera — scanning product barcodes and taking product photos. Camera data never leaves your device.
- Photo Library — selecting existing photos for products.
- Microphone — only when you explicitly use voice commands (Pro feature). Speech is processed on-device.
- Speech Recognition — Apple’s Speech framework for voice-powered inventory operations. On-device whenever possible.
- Bluetooth — connecting to receipt printers and POS hardware.
- Local Notifications — low stock, overdue receivables, and expiry reminders. All scheduled locally on your device.
In-App Purchases
When you purchase a Pro subscription or lifetime upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store. We receive a transaction receipt to unlock Pro features, but we do not receive your payment information, name, or email address.
Third-Party Services
StockEasy does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app is built using only Apple’s first-party frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, StoreKit, AVFoundation, CoreBluetooth, Speech, UserNotifications).
Children’s Privacy
StockEasy is rated 4+ and contains no content inappropriate for children. However, the app is designed for business use and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Data Deletion
To delete all your data, simply delete the StockEasy app from your device. Deleting the app removes every record it holds; any backup file you exported earlier is yours to keep or delete wherever you saved it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. For material changes, we will notify users via an in-app notice.
